Our Story

Mission

Ecofrontera Foundation began with the goal of improving access to clean water and adequate sanitation in marginalized communities along the US-Mexico border.  Despite major strides in water and sanitation access worldwide, residents of both countries still experience gaps in access to these essential things.  We seek to improve the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate-related impacts via small-scale projects that are both repeatable and sustainable.  The transfer of knowledge during project implementation is as important as the final installation, and we believe that our focus on capacity-building will help participants use small projects to confront big issues in the future. 

Ecofrontera Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organization in the United States.
